Solutherms solution strategy comes forth from a unique combination of technical creativity, practical experience and a healthy dose of common sense. Due to this blend of talents Solutherm can act as a bridge between scientific knowledge and its practical application.

The Founders
Pieter Jellema (1968) has studied Mechanical Engineering at the Twente University of Technology. After rounding off his study, Pieter gained several years of technical experience as a designer of steam boilers and after that as a technical consultant.

Jelle Nijdam has studied Mechanical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. After rounding off his study, Jelle undertook a PhD research in the field of regenerative packed bed systems and worked after that some years as a technical consultant.

Pieter en Jelle founded Solutherm in 1999. Since then, they converted their fundamental knowledge into numerous successful practical applications.

Every problem has a solution
Finding solutions is a dynamic process, whereby different aspects need to be considered simultaneously, such as technical limitations, cost, space availability, industrial standards, environmental aspects, cleanliness, energy use and sound effects. Solutherm’s solution strategy consists of unravelling a problem into constituent parts by means of a thermodynamic analysis. This strategy results in a number of well-defined ‘problem segments’. Analysing these segments requires a combination of creativity and technical know-how and often results in surprisingly simple solutions.
