TU/e offers two-year post-master designers programs (PDEng) for selected top 10% students. The program at the faculty of Chemical Engineering starts with a year of advanced education, followed by a Process and Product Design (PPD) project of twelve months in a company. Solutherm supports these trainees in their second year, learning them to build bridges between theory and practice. Two projects within the pharmaceutical industry have meanwhile been completed successfully, one relating to sterile filtration and the other to membrane emulsification. Both trainees have meanwhile joined the internship company.
